Andrias’ father is loyal to the king, and he gets the order to join dark magicians to steal/find one of his original sins. After he gets it and hides it, he goes to tell the king that he fulfilled the order. The king killed him on the spot because he wanted to hide the fact he was looking for the “original sins.”

They later kill Andrias’ mother and erase his noble family tree from public records. That is why Andreas had a big problem in the novel: to get his residence back. The king wants to get all “sins” and be immortal. Andrias’ dad was loyal to the king, and the king ordered him to grow the tree from a seed.

The king already had the seed, and no one else in the world could grow it for some reason. So, he was ordered to infiltrate the dark magicians in order to learn how to grow the tree, and he was successful. Then the king went paranoid and assassinated Andrias’ mother, so his dad hid the tree and rebelled, which got him killed.

Andrias actually got their family house back with ease. It was cheaper to buy back, and the process got over faster than he thought because the sale of the house was banned. It seems the sale was banned because someone wanted him to buy back the house himself and find his dad’s inheritance.

(No one knows what the original sin looks like or that it’s a tree, except the king, I guess, or maybe not even the king knows). The king does want all the sins for himself, but that’s because he wants to watch the world burn, not to be immortal.

This is the only tree of this world, so it is the “original sin,” so the other sins are just called the sins or their respectful names, like a sloth. Andrias will get a major power-up from this tree.

And even command them to travel far from him and still listen to his order, which no other necromancer can do in this world (because that requires a f*ck ton of mana, and the only other people who can summon armies are old monsters who have lived centuries.
