Reiji accompanies the young boy, feeling bad that this is partly his doing, only to find that now Naoya is homeless since his apartment burned down and finally ends up taking in this "stray cat".

Their paired rings somehow draw them together and the two alternately clash and attract, as they must sort out their budding feelings for each other.

Sakura picks Ryouichi up at a brothel and their one night transaction soon turns into more of a rent-boy relationship. Can these two damaged people figure out that their true feelings run much deeper than any monetary based transaction?

In Chapter 5, (A Bird at Sea, A Door in the Sky) Ryuu is a sad but tough kid from Osaka who is trying to overcome his past. When an American, Stefan, takes an interest in him, will it lead to more than just friendship? Ryuu's story is continued in the Kiss DJ. (This is part of the Rules series. Hotheaded and temperamental Madoka Tokumaru cannot seem to stop himself from breaking things with his brute strength. Fed up with Madoka's attitude, his younger sister, Nagomi, forces him to join the Tea Club to learn general etiquette and a sense of composure. Leading the club is the mature and handsome Kazuma Hasune, who is reluctant to take Madoka in as an apprentice. Likewise, Madoka is unable to grasp the nuances of a traditional tea ceremony, nor is he fond of Hasune's intense personality.

While working at a club event, Madoka witnesses a theft in the club room. Realizing the thieves stole a priceless teacup that belonged to Hasune's late grandfather, Madoka goes on the offense to retrieve it. Though he manages to come out of the incident relatively unscathed, the cup nonetheless breaks in his possession. Having no means of compensating Hasune, the Tea Club head proposes an alternative form of payment—Madoka's body.
