Because of his cheerful view on life and capacity to motivate people to change, Naruto Uzumaki is a comfort character for many fans. Despite his contagious warmth and fascinating path as a hero, Naruto has experienced numerous challenges during his existence. To be honest, Naruto deserved a lot more from the people around him.

Naruto was despised by the whole Leaf Village during his childhood. He became a malicious joker to attract the attention of others, but what he really desired was to be accepted by all. Despite this, Naruto always protects his friends and never gives up on anyone. Despite the fact that he never complains about his situation, Naruto deserves the same care that he provides to others.

10 Naruto Grows Raised Alone In An Apartment

It's heartbreaking to watch Naruto return to his apartment alone day after day, especially when he's really young. He wanders the village with an allowance from the Third Hokage but no guidance on how to use it. Naruto often distracts himself by pulling pranks, but when the school day is over, he has no one to pick him up and take him home.

It was inevitable that Naruto would end up alone due to the Nine-Tails inside of him. Naruto endures ridicule from the villagers who lost their loved ones in the Nine-Tails attack. Despite the circumstances, it would be nice to see one of the adults actively raising Naruto or at least doing more than watching him from afar.

9 Nobody informs Naruto about his Father

Naruto is raised unaware that his father is the Fourth Hokage. When he first encounters Minato, he has no understanding who he is or why he is preventing him from releasing the Nine-Tails. The Third Hokage decides to keep Naruto in the dark, giving him extra pain as a youngster.

Several individuals were aware that Minato was Naruto's father. Jiraiya, in particular, was in an ideal position to inform Naruto about his ancestors. Naruto spent most of his childhood training with Jiraiya, and the Toad Sage once stated Naruto reminded him of the Fourth Hokage. The reason for the secrecy is never revealed, but one thing is certain: Naruto deserved to know who his father was.

8 Hiruzen Breaks His Commitment to Raise Naruto

Kushina begs the Third Hokage to look for Naruto and raise him with her dying breath. In certain ways, Hiruzen fulfills his commitment to keep an eye on him. He ensures Naruto has a place to stay as well as food. Yet, he fails to raise Naruto in the manner that every child deserves.

Instead of taking Naruto in, Hiruzen gives him an apartment and an allowance. He avoids queries about Naruto's parents and only appears to spend time with him on rare occasions. As a result, Naruto grows up without knowing what it's like to be cared for. Naruto deserves better than the lonely childhood he was given by the Third Hokage.

7 Sakura Beats Him Up In Almost Every Episode

Sakura has many faults as a character, so it's not hard to see why she receives hate from fans. However, her worst quality is her bad habit of punching Naruto throughout the anime. Sakura starts scolding Naruto due to his prankster antics in school, but the punishments she serves him are far too severe.

Not only is she physically intimidating, but Sakura also belittles Naruto by calling him an idiot for most of the show. While the jibes are meant to be affectionate, the fact that Naruto never returns the favor makes her seem like a bad friend. Although Naruto allows the aggressive behavior due to his feelings for Sakura, that certainly doesn't make it right.

6 Iruka Requests that Naruto's Classmates Disregard Him

Iruka first finds it difficult to adapt to his position as a teacher. He requests the Third Hokage for assistance because he is struggling to deal with Naruto and his stupid actions at school. Iruka first finds it difficult to connect with Naruto because his parents perished in the Nine-Tails attack.

Iruka takes the senior teacher at the school's suggestion and instructs the rest of the students to ignore Naruto when he misbehaves. He begins to appear to Naruto as just another pejorative villager, which demoralizes him. Although Iruka ultimately makes things right by accepting Naruto as a pupil, his initial demeanor is needlessly harsh.

5 Tsunade Allows Naruto To Take On Too Much Responsibility

Out of all the Hokage, Tsunade is probably the one who trusts Naruto the most. She lets him handle missions far above his caliber and leaves him to fight Pain on his own despite being the target of the attack. Tsunade is admirable for giving Naruto the freedom to show his heroism, and no doubt instrumental in him eventually becoming Hokage himself.

That being said, Tsunade let too much responsibility fall onto his shoulders as a child. While she panicked at the sight of blood, Naruto fought against Kabuto and put himself in serious danger. Her reliance on Naruto may serve him well as a hero, but it feels unfair that he constantly risks his life to protect others.

4 Sasuke Tries To Kill Him Multiple Times

From the first show to Naruto Shippuden, Sasuke is the definition of a toxic friend. After leaving the village to become Orochimaru's apprentice, he tries to kill Naruto every time he sees him. While Naruto considers Sasuke a friend and tries to bring him home, Sasuke mocks their bond and tries to end the friendship through pure violence.

It's partly Naruto's fault since he's stubborn and refuses to leave Sasuke alone. However, Sasuke claims to be Naruto's best friend and then betrays him once the fight with Kaguya is over. Although he redeems himself as a friend in Boruto, Sasuke's callousness toward Naruto can never be forgotten.

3 Throughout the War, Naruto is Imprisoned on an Island

Naruto is kept in the dark about everything at the beginning of the Fourth Great Ninja War. The Five Kage concur to imprison Naruto to an island in the Hidden Cloud after learning that he will be the target of the assault. In the meanwhile, while his companions are fending off an army of White Zetsu and reanimated ninjas, Naruto trains with Killer Bee.

As Naruto learns of the conflict, he goes to the front lines of combat. It was wrong to leave Naruto out of the entire plot, despite the fact that preserving the secret was an effort to preserve his life. As Naruto asserts while addressing the Raikage, he is a skilled enough ninja to earn everyone's respect.

2  Naruto is crushed by Karui

Naruto does everything he can to defend his friend, Sasuke, even after he becomes a wanted criminal across the villages. When shinobi from the Hidden Cloud come to get information about him, Naruto refuses to say a word. He endures the brutal pummeling that Killer Bee's student Karui gives him, saying that he'll take all of her hate in exchange for Sasuke's safety.

It's hard to watch Naruto take such a harsh beating, especially because Sasuke doesn't reciprocate his friend's devotion. Karui was wrong for taking out her frustration on Naruto and taking advantage of his self-sacrificial nature. Thankfully, Sai intervenes before his teammate dies, but still, Naruto deserved much better than being treated like a punching bag.

1  Minato Seals The 9-Tails Inside Naruto

Like most jinchurikis, Naruto had no choice in becoming a vessel for the Nine-Tailed Fox. On the day he was born, Minato made a split-second decision to seal the Nine-Tails inside his son, one that impacted his life forever. Minato was desperate to save everyone by any means necessary, so he decided to make Naruto a jinchuriki like his mother.

While it's hard to say whether there was a better alternative, Minato's decision sealed Naruto's fate for life. Naruto suffered a lonely childhood as a result and became the target of the Akatsuki at a young age. While Naruto mastered the Nine-Tails' power in the end, he still deserved a normal childhood the way his mother intended for him.
