The Great Mage Returns After 4000 Years Chapter 186 will see Lucas embarking on his journey to defeat Lucifer again. The last few chapters were nothing but intense action as Lucas and Asura went against each other with all they’ve got.
Even the Strongest Combat Demon of Hell paled in comparison to the overwhelming might of Lucas as the fight ended with the former winning without getting even a single scratch. Asura decided to join Lucas and help him in his journey, forcing even Barbatos and Zefar to join.
Now that Lucas has dealt with the Demons of Hell and has even made them submit to him, all that remains is to take down Lucifer, but he also has to remember not to lose himself in the process because power can overwhelm a person at times!

The chapter opens up with Asura clashing with Lucas in an intense battle. Asura and Lucas keep throwing devastating attacks at each other, destroying a huge battlefield area, but somehow, none gets injured.
Asura shrinks his size and commends Lucas for being able to dodge his attacks, but Lucas doesn’t feel so good about Asura’s small size because he would have preferred having a bigger target.
Barbatos also notices Asura’s change in size, and so he states that Asura did it to avoid hits easily, but the change in size does not affect his overall strength.
Asura then strikes a lightning bolt at Lucas, but he manages to dodge it moments before it hits. Asura then tries to close the distance while Lucas has weak footing, but he somehow fails to deliver a blow as Lucas recovers rather quickly from his stance.
Lucas says the title of the Strongest combat Demon of hell fits Asura, as he just used all six weapons to seal his escape path.
Asura does not like being praised by Lucas, so he immediately starts attacking again. As before, Lucas manages to dodge all the attacks fairly easily, which annoys Asura as he tries even harder to hit him.
Lilith says that Asura is completely outmatched in tactics despite having an advantage in strength. Asura starts getting fatigued by all the running, so he throws away his weapons.
Lucas notices that the weapons smash the ground when dropped, making him wonder how heavy they are. Asura instantly closes the distance and lands a punch straight to Lucas’s gut.
Lucas gets caught off guard by the sudden increase in Asura’s speed, so he fails to dodge even the second attack. Zafar says that if this keeps up, Asura may have a chance of winning, and Barbatos agrees with him. Lilith disagrees with Barbatos and keeps staring at Lucas.
Lucas takes a good beating from Asura but then blows Asura away by strengthening his aura. The Demon Gods get shocked after seeing that Lucas is completely unscathed, even after taking so many hits.
Lucas’s mind suddenly gets clouded with thoughts provoking him to defeat all the demons and make them submit to him. Asura realizes what’s happening, and so he tells Lucas that this is something one experiences when they transcend humanity.
Asura further adds that the power to do anything forces you to make everyone submit to you, and so in the end, Lucas’s enemy is not god or Lucifer but his mind.
Asura then decides to end his lecture and continue fighting. Lucas accepts the challenge, but this time, he knocks Asura in one single blow.
Asura laughs after getting defeated because it’s been too long since he got this feeling. Asura then tells Zefar and Barbatos that he will follow Lucas in his quest to defeat Lucifer.
He then asks them what they will do, and they agree to follow Lucas. Lucas wonders if Asura lost willingly, but Asura doesn’t clarify anything.
