Warning: the following article contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 206 “Stars and Oil, Part 2,” by Gege Akutami, John Werry and Snir Aharon.

Yuki Tsukumo has been a mysterious figure in Jujutsu Kaisen since her introduction early on in the series. Not much is known about her aside from the fact that she’s one of the four registered Special-Grade sorcerers, and a mentor to Todo. Kenjaku wasn’t even able to gather any information about her Cursed Technique from Jujutsu headquarters. Presumably, this is because Yuki herself doesn’t want her Cursed Technique being public knowledge. Nonetheless, it was revealed to be Mass in the previous chapter.

Yuki seemed to have the advantage as she unleashed her Cursed Technique on Kenjaku; it was the first time Kenjaku was shown struggling against an opponent and actually taking damage. However, it didn’t take long for Kenjaku to turn the tables on her. He surprised Yuki by suddenly using his Domain Expansion. He deduced that she likely isn’t confident in her ability to win a clash of Domains since she didn’t open her own, despite them both clearly finding each other’s Cursed Techniques troublesome.

Yuki and Kenjaku’s Fierce Battle

Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuki and Tengen's Plan to Beat Kenjaku Takes an Unexpected Turn_0

Chapter 206 opens with a flashback which shows Yuki and Tengen devising their plan to defeat Kenjaku. The plan actually required Kenjaku to open his Domain, draining his Cursed Technique in the process. Yuki would counter using Simple Domain, and hold out for ten seconds, giving Tengen just enough time to analyze Kenjaku’s Domain and then dispel it. If all goes according to plan, Yuki would be able to beat Kenjaku while he needs time to replenish his Cursed Technique.

Unfortunately, Yuki and Tengen miscalculated in assuming Kenjaku has a normal-sized enclosed Domain. To their surprise, his Domain has no outer shell to remove. Kenjaku’s Domain, Womb Profusion, is similar to Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine, in that it doesn’t create a separate space within a small barrier. Instead, his Domain is manifested onto reality and is effective over a wide open area. Malevolent Shrine has a maximum radius of nearly 200 meters. It hasn’t been revealed if the same goes for Womb Profusion.

Yuki Prevails, But Not Without Injury

Tengen manages to dispel Kenjaku’s Domain, but not before Yuki is hit hard with an attack from Kenjaku that leaves her barely conscious. Kenjaku believes the fight is over but is shocked when Yuki is suddenly up and fighting again with one of her arms destroyed. She refuses to take the time to heal with Reversed Cursed Technique because she doesn’t want to allow Kenjaku to replenish his Cursed Techniques. She puts up a good fight, but her injuries eventually catch up to her as she reaches her limit.

Kenjaku incorrectly assumes the fight is over. As the chapter ends, Choso rejoins the fight after barely escaping with his life. There’s no telling how this will play out now, as Kenjaku still needs to replenish his Cursed Technique, while Yuki and Choso are both in critical condition.
